Have to say, my experiences with Transitions is the best physical therapy I have ever received. Having gone through knee surgery in my teen years, I did not get what I needed and the knee had become unstable. From talking to Shannon to set up appointments and conversations with her in the office, to Dana just caring about you and willingness to teach you how to take care of yourself, the whole experience was wonderful. In three months, Dana was able to teach me the exercises, stretches and provide the information I need to keep my knee and core in shape. Last session I was able to do more weight and jump further and have more stability. As a tennis player and motocross rider, my knees are everything and now I can have the confidence to keep playing and keep myself from further injury. Sometimes you even get a treat when her dog, Porter, shows up and play a little fetch before and after your session. I will only ever go to see Dana at Transitions and I recommend anyone who is in need of PT that they look here as well. One on one sessions and someone who cares about your well being and has the understanding to fix the issues is worth its weight in gold. I thank everyone there for helping me and look forward to any future sessions and maybe an IV lounge =p

Dana is truly the best! She is extremely knowledgeable and completely dedicated to her patients. She has treated every member of our family, but has been an absolute life saver for our daughter. Our daughter has been dancing her whole life and while in high school experienced many different ailments. We took her to 2 surgeons in Orlando who both wanted to operate. We finally ended up with a specialist at Boston Children's hospital, who advised against surgery and suggested intense PT. Dana worked with her throughout her high school years and she is still dancing in college. We know that would not have been possible without her extraordinary care! She also helped diagnose an underlying medical condition that was easily treatable and helped tremendously with her pain. We will be forever grateful for Dana D! Trina and Mark Roque

I’ve been benefiting from Dana’s expertise since she had the one room office on Lakeview. She has helped me identify problems that multiple Doctors have overlooked. I have a new shoulder because she told Me I didn’t need any more “shots” in it I needed to request An MRI. When the docs took a look,,,,they scheduled me for a full shoulder replacement. Dana’s knowledge of how the muscles, tendons and bones can hide aches is amazing, but even better is her ability to get the aches out. I have many Doctors and specialist but Dana is my number one healthcare partner.

I had a GREAT experience with Dana at Transitional Physical Therapy. I am a fairly new runner and had multiple injuries/issues. Dana’s knowledge of BOTH physical therapy and running was key to helping me heal injuries and prevent future pain. I now know good form for running which will help me be a faster and better runner, but also safe and healthy. Thanks, Dana!

I have been using Dana and the team at Transitions Physical Therapy over the years for a number of sports related issues. Most recently they have been helping treat my plantar fasciitis with dry needling and the class IV laser. I have been dealing with the issue for a long time and Dana suggested I look at some alternative treatments. Over multiple treatment sessions my foot is feeling much better. Dana and staff are very knowable, super helpful and I highly recommend their practice

I’ve been struggling with arthritis in my knee for a long time. The orthopedist ‘s answer was a knee replacement. Since I like to run & wanted to avoid surgery I reached out to Dana who has rehabbed me thru other injuries. She suggested dry needling and after only 2 sessions I had improvement. I have completed 6 sessions and am back to running 6 miles without knee pain. Dana is a top notch therapist and maybe even a miracle worker.

In Nov 2020, I had a complex shoulder surgery - with 3 procedures in one. I was referred by my orthopedic to their company owned PT facility. After 3 months of trying therapy with them, getting frustrated with the lack of personal attention and no real progress, a friend referred me to Dana. I've been seeing her since then and can NOW finally raise my arm above my head, reach behind my back and use my right arm, which was a wreck before Dana started helping me. She is not only incredible with her patients as far as knowledge, but is more "holistic" in her approach, recommending and using techniques such as stretching, strengthening, using needles with electrical stimulation and massage. I KNOW with 100% certainty that Dana is the most exceptional physical therapist in Central Florida and I would recommend her to anyone seeking one-on-one therapy with a holistic approach to healing properly. THANK YOU for giving me my life back Dana! I appreciate you more than these words or any recommendation I could ever write. Dana, you gave me my wings back! YOU ARE AWESOME!!

Visited Transitions Physical Therapy today for my first time dry needling. It was a fantastic experience all around! I was treated for Piriformis Syndrome. Not only was the treatment top notch, Dana was extremely knowledgeable and informative about how she was treating me. The whole center which has been recently expanded was super clean, relaxing and full of brand new equipment. I highly recommend Dana and the rest of Transitions Physical Therapy for all of your therapy and restorative needs!

A few years ago I tore my rotator cuff and required surgery- but, my job requires me to utilize my arms (I am a hairstylist). I was afraid the recovery would be an issue. Dana D. was very patient and thorough with my road to recovery. She is very knowledgeable and is the kind of therapist that truly wants her patients to get back to doing what they love. I won't lie, the PT wasn't always the most fun or painless experience. But I made it through and recovered just fine. I still visit Dana at Transitions from time to time for little pains and kinks. But luckily I haven't needed any major PT since!
